From the cozy creators of Camper Van: Make It Cozy comes their next meditative puzzle and decoration game – Book Nook.
In Book Nook, you’ll build miniature diorama scenes piece by relaxing piece. Place furniture, decorations, and tiny details to watch your scene come to life. Once you’re finished, each diorama transports you to a special memory.
Malapata Studio has already kept us hooked with their warm, fuzzy aesthetics, and Book Nook looks to be no exception. But where Book Nook differs from other decoration games is in its storytelling. Studio director Anabel Sánchez explains: “We wanted to create something small in scope but with a strong emotional impact.”
What makes this game particularly special is that every Book Nook has a story to tell. There’s currently no release date, but there’s a demo to play now on Steam. Here’s everything we know about this upcoming cozy diorama builder.
A Small But Satisfyingly Tactile Experience
At its core, Book Nook celebrates the experience of crafting something with your own hands. It’s a tactile, sensory experience where each snap and click reveals a new corner of a tiny world. Piece by piece, you’ll fill every small nook with memories – placing furniture, decorations, and delicate details until everything fits perfectly.
Take things slow. There are no timers, no pressure – just the quiet pleasure of figuring out where each piece belongs, and that gentle click when everything locks into place. Enjoy the satisfying snap of beautifully hand-drawn pieces in a comforting sensory experience. Watch the scene reveal itself over time, like a jigsaw puzzle, as you carefully choose what goes where.
Book Nook: A Calm Cozy Casual Puzzle Experience
If we’re on the same cozy algorithm, I’m sure you’ve seen those “build your own book nook” kits. They’re fun DIY hobbies that work a bit like a decorative jigsaw. Book Nook takes that same experience and gives you the kit – without any of the mess – while letting a story unfold.
Watch your miniature nook come together step by step. Position each element carefully, from larger furniture to delicate decorations, and see the scene gradually take shape in a soothing, hands-on way. Add personality with books, plants, ornaments, and small details. Arrange the final pieces to complete each cozy corner and give every nook its own unique charm. It’s the small touches that add massive warmth.
If you enjoy calm, cozy experiences and fulfilling casual puzzles, you can wishlist Book Nook now on Steam and follow us for more updates on this delightful diorama builder.
