Leafy Corner Review: A Cozy Plant Shop Sim You’ll Grow On

Leafy Corner, Fireline Games, Cozy Game, Plant Shop Management Sim, July 2026

I don’t know why going to work is hard, but managing a little shop sim isn’t. In Leafy Corner, you get to set up your own cozy little plant shop, selling, growing and caring for a variety of real-life plants. Probably the cozy factor of the game is rooted in you being able to run it from the comfort of your own home in your jammies. And the fact that there’s a “water all plants” feature attached to the game.

If you’re looking for a relaxing and cozy sim full of lush and beautiful plants, then you’ll want to check out Leafy Corner, out now on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC. Here’s our full review of the game.

Gameplay: A Delightful Cycle of Growth and Order

Leafy Corner starts with a small, somewhat bare shop and a handful of seeds. Your primary task is to water your plants (carefully—don’t drown them!) and watch them grow, leaf by leaf, until they’re ready to be sold. The game features over 100 unique, real-life plant types to discover and care for, from humble Pothos to succulents and more exotic varieties.

If you’re a plant parent irl you’ll know that looking after plant babies isn’t always a walk in the park. And at least in Leafy Corner, it helps you a bit with some of the care. You can use an in-game menu to water all your plants at once, with the game even cleverly adjusting the watering flow speed based on each plant’s needs. A thirsty succulent will take a quick drink, while a more demanding fern will need a longer soak. This keeps things relaxing without completely removing the gentle responsibility of keeping all your plants alive. This in turn lets you branch out into other tasks without feeling overwhelmed.

Match The Plant To The Customer

The gameplay loop is driven by your customers, who wander in with very specific needs. They’re not just looking for any plant; they want something that matches their “hardy” lifestyle, their “geometric” aesthetic, or their need for a pet-safe companion. It’s your job as the shopkeeper to use your in-game compendium to match them with the perfect plant. Getting it right is a small but immensely satisfying puzzle. Plus you get to learn a little more about your favourite plants too.

This is almost a no-fail state game where customers do not become impatient when you’re looking around to pick them a plant. There is no pressure to stock every available plant in every variety (unless you want to). And eventually you’ll unlock new reputation levels, which in turn grant access to more plants, pots, and decoration options, creating a satisfying sense of progression.

Decorate Your Cozy Green Habitat

As any cozy shopkeeper knows, aesthetics play a big part in running a shop; in Leafy Corner you’ve got full control over the way your shop looks, and you’re also handed the ability to change it up on a whim. Carefully choose what kind of inviting wallpaper you’d like, what type of flooring would match or just any vibe you feel like going with that day. My personal favourite is always twinkly fairy lights and stacks of books for that homey vibe.

Then, of course, set up your green space with the plants in a variety of beautiful plant pots. As you progress, you’ll fill up your shop to the brim with an enviable amount of plants. You’ll unlock more decorations, different species and my personal favourite – variegations. The thrill of discovering a variegated plant is one of the highlights of the game for me. Variegation is a beautiful mutation that can appear on some plants as they grow, making them visually unique and more valuable. Once you get one, you can even propagate it to grow more.

Fortunately, you’ve got a compendium by your side to detail the features of each plant when someone’s looking for something in particular. You’ve got different sizes of plants that unlock as you progress. And yes, this is beginning to sound sort of stressful, but fear not. Leafy Corner knows what it is and that’s a calm retreat situated in a little nook of gaming titles that want you to kick back and relax.

Leafy Corner

The soft, low-poly art style of Leafy Corner is inviting, the gentle music is whimsical, and the entire experience is relaxing and beautiful. The game does exactly what it sets out to do. Be a calm, engaging, and deeply charming plant shop simulator that understands the quiet joy of nurturing things and creating a beautiful space.

The game is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox, and is a short and sweet, relaxing experience.
