If you’ve been clinging to the side of a mountain in PEAK, the brutally charming co-op climbing game, we’ve got some festive news for you. Just in time for the holidays, PEAK has launched its Winter Update, wrapping the island in holiday cheer! Maps have gotten a snowy makeover, suitcases are now giant presents, and there’s a new way to cool off in the Mesa: snowball fights. It’s the perfect way to add a little more festive chaos to your climb.
The PEAK Winter Update (v1.50a) is live now. So gather your most reliable—or most annoying—friends, and see if you can reach the PEAK without getting a snowball down your neck.
The Airport – Festive Basecamp

The airport lobby has officially gone full holiday mode—consider it your festive basecamp before the icy climb! You’re now greeted by twinkling Christmas trees in two glorious flavours: classic fir and totally tropical palm (because why choose?). Wreaths, ornaments and lights have been decked out to give the place a festive vibe.
Gather your crew and strike a pose in the new spaces! This is your moment to nail that group Holiday Card. And speaking of pictures, the photobooth is now stocked with silly seasonal props, including the one and only Bing Bong rocking some very merry threads. Say cheese… then go chuck snowballs at each other.
From Frosty Shores To Snowy Deserts
Winter has officially conquered the island. All of the biomes—sans one—are now dusted in seasonal snow. The Shore’s beaches have a fresh coat, and somehow, the desert Mesa is covered in it. The one defiant holdout? The Caldera, which remains stubbornly snow-free…. because – lava.
Most of the mechanics of the game are staying the same, and despite the snow in the Mesa, you’ll still take heat damage. But that’s nothing a quick snowball to the face can’t fix. Scattered throughout the biomes, you’ll find fresh snow mounds. Pack one and let it fly at a friend for fun, to cool them off or save one to hit one of those pesky fungal zombies.
The Future Of PEAK
This Winter Update marks the last content patch of the year. The developers are shifting to a less frequent update schedule in 2026 to maintain a healthier pace, but confirm that more PEAK content is in the works.
