April is here, and with it comes the annual ritual of pretending we’re not still getting surprise frosts while we queue up games about gentle restoration, hidden objects, and the therapeutic act of arranging virtual furniture. This month brings a stacked lineup: we’ve got camper-van life sims, idle fishing games, a surprising number of hidden-object games, and my particular favourite, one about running a small-town convenience store in 1990s Japan.
Here are all the cozy games coming this April.
Clean Up Earth
by Magic Pockets
Clean Up Earth is a co-op restoration game where you vacuum waste, rebuild ecosystems, and watch nature return in real time. You and up to 24 other players (or just yourself, if you’re not feeling social) will use your modular Terra Cleaners to suck up trash, recycle materials, and watch nature bounce back in real time.
The satisfying loop here is immediate: you clean a patch, plants grow back, wildlife returns, and suddenly you’ve accidentally restored an ecosystem. There’s also a community initiative baked in where gameplay supports real environmental work, no microtransactions required.

KuloNiku: Bowl Up! is a cooking game with a competitive streak. You’ll prep meals for a cast of quirky locals—the kind of orders that make you wonder if anyone in this town has ever tasted a vegetable—while upgrading and customising your shop to match your own chaotic energy.
You’ve inherited your grandmother’s meatball restaurant in the sleepy town of KuloNiku. And the only thing standing between you and restoring the family legacy is a flashy rival operation called Souper Starz, run by a rockstar chef named Stella who has definitely never made a meatball in her life.

Nippets
by Blink Industries
Nippets is a hand-drawn hidden object game that frames itself around the quiet joy of people-watching. You’re not just finding items—you’re shaking trees, peeking through windows, nudging curious objects to see what rattles loose. Each discovery tells a small story about the inhabitants, and the cumulative effect is something like reading a neighbourhood’s collective diary.
The art style has that slightly messy, lived-in warmth that suggests the artist actually draws on paper sometimes. It’s less about efficiency and more about the pleasure of noticing.

by Paiband Game Studio
You arrive on an island that’s seen better days—trash littering the shoreline, ecosystems struggling, the general sense that someone left the lights on and never came back. Your job, such as it is, is to fix that. One clean sweep at a time.
This is a slow-burn restoration sim in the truest sense: you’ll clear debris, rebuild habitats, and watch as you turn this place into a wildlife sanctuary. There’s no timer, no pressure—just you, your loyal dog, and the quiet satisfaction of turning something broken into something thriving. When the day’s work is done, you can sit by the fire and let the sound design do its thing.
