Put on your finest dress or dust off those glass slippers, we’ve been invited to Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Winter Ball, happening on December 10, 2025. The update brings with it a flourish of seasonal magic, a very special guest and new ways to share the magic with friends; it’s the perfect seasonal sparkle to end the year!
Cinderella’s Grand Arrival
The centrepiece of the Winter Ball is the long-awaited debut of Cinderella! Her story begins with a magical mystery featuring the iconic glass slipper. Cinderella has been locked away behind a protective pumpkin enchantment, placed by the Fairy Godmother, to shield her from the Forgotten. It looks like we’ll need to dispel this barrier to free her.
Once free, as with all our Disney characters, Cinderella will have several Friendship Quests that will have you exploring new hobbies, befriending curious critters, and ultimately planning a Valley-wide Friendship Ball. Completing her quests unlocks dazzling rewards, adding her royal grace to your village.
Winter Warmth Star Path
No Disney Dreamlight Valley update is complete without a new Star Path, and the Winter Warmth Star Path is brimming with festive activities. Tasks like collecting snow in the Frosted Heights, taking a selfie with a snowman, and spending time with Cinderella will help you earn seasonal rewards. Look forward to unlocking classic winter fashions, festive furnishings, and an adorable new companion: the Festive Baby Pegasus.
The Premium Shop will also receive a seasonal boost with the Cinderella Mega Bundle. This pack includes new Dream Styles for both Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother, Cinderella-themed items, and holiday decor inspired by Disney’s Frozen.
New Features & Seasonal Cheer
A major new social feature, DreamTeams, is set to revolutionise how players collaborate. By completing an unlock quest, you can create or join a community with up to 7 friends. Customise your team with a unique name, motto, and motif. The system allows you to request or trade items directly with members and even includes a Team Feed within Photo Mode to share and react to your favourite in-game snapshots. Think of it as a lightweight guild system designed to ease resource gathering and foster community.
- Villager Toggle: Finally, get the perfect group photo! This new feature in Photo Mode lets you selectively choose which villagers appear in your shot.
- Scrooge’s Return Policy: In a shockingly generous holiday move, Scrooge McDuck will now offer full refunds. You can sell back any purchased item for its original Star Coin price.
- Improved Inventory Management: New sorting, filtering, and a search function will make managing your growing collection of items much easier.
Limited-Time Winter Events
The Winter Ball celebration has two special events that will run from December 17th 2025, to January 28th 2026.
- Gift of Giving (Dec. 17-31): A returning event that lets you complete previous year’s festive achievements for all-new rewards. Be sure to log in on December 25 for a special holiday surprise, claimable through to the 31st.
- Winter Floating Festival (Jan. 7-28, 2026): Solve weekly puzzles on a floating island to earn exclusive wintery decorations and items.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: Winter Ball Update
