Palia is a free-to-play online multiplayer fantasy life sim where you can live your best cozy life. Make friends with the villagers, explore and find out more about what this beautiful land has to offer or just simply kick back, relax and spend the day fishing. The choice is all yours! In Palia you can choose to improve your skills such as Bug Catching, Cooking, Fishing, Gardening and more. In this guide, we’ll be focusing on the tried and true skill of Hunting.
The Hunting Guild is run by Hassian, and you’ll find it a useful skill for gathering meat, fur, hides and more from the animals around Palia. In this guide, we’ll go through everything you need to know about Hunting.
Note: Palia is a live service game and as such this guide will be updated periodically as the game updates. This guide has been updated to include the Royal Highlands expansion.
How To Hunt

Hassian will teach you how to hunt during your first quest, ‘Learning the Ropes‘. This will unlock shortly after you read the letter from Hassian when you first enter your Housing Plot. To hunt in Palia, you’ll need a bow and arrow, and then it’s simply about tracking down your target creature and hitting them enough times to get them to drop their loot. Damage and health is dependent on the type of bow and arrow you’re using, as well as the creature you’re hunting, respectively.
When hit or shot at, animals will run away if not killed outright. Sernuk will eventually stop running, but Chapaa will instead dig into the ground to be lost forever.

As you level up your Hunting skills, you’ll be able to buy recipes from Hassian to upgrade your equipment.
