Potion Permit is a cozy life sim about helping people as the town’s chemist. With your trusty tools, a brewing cauldron, and a canine companion at your side, you’ll need to diagnose symptoms, gather ingredients, brew potions, and cure ailments in this open-ended sim RPG.
The town of Moonbury has around 30 unique inhabitants who will occasionally fall ill and call for your aid. And while curing them of their illnesses, you can also befriend them over time. The better your friendship level is with someone, the more friendly they will behave towards you, whether they visit your clinic and what quests you’ll have access to.
In this Potion Permit guide, we’ll go through everything you need to know about making friends in Moonbury, their quests and more.
How To Increase Friendship
To increase friendship in Potion Permit, you’ll need to have positive interactions with them continuously. Talk with the residents of the town every day, as depicted by a white speech bubble icon. A green checkmark will appear after you’ve talked to that character that day (Introductions do not count as talking with them).
Currently, the only gift that can be given to characters is Moon Cloves. Each gift of a bag of Moon Cloves to a character will increase their bar by a much larger chunk than just talking to them, but Moon Cloves are limited and cannot be crafted or purchased. So you might want to save those for your romantic love interest.
Check on your friendship level with someone in your Medical Journal’s social tab. Once you fill the friendship bar, a Friendship Quest will unlock. The next day, a cutscene with the character can be activatedand the player will receive a quest. This “Friendship Quest” must be fully completed before the character’s friendship bar level will unlock. Any interactions with the character while their bar is locked will not increase their friendship.
