Announced just last week, this upcoming cozy wilderness survival game lets you leave the water and live off the land. In Wild n Chill, you’ll hunt, forage, craft, and survive—but in a laid-back, low-stakes sort of way. Think simple life, not sufferin’ simulator. Just you, your trusty dog, and maybe a friend or two.
Wild n Chill is a cozy wilderness survival experience where you set the pace. Go solo with your trusty dog or round up a few buddies for co-op. It’s all about slow livin’, workin’ the land, and buildin’ yourself a little slice of home out in the wild.

Cozy Wilderness Survival
In Wild n Chill, you and your companions live off-grid in a cabin built for two (or four). To survive the wilds and keep your belly full, you’ll need to hunt, fish, and gather—staying warm and safe through those cold winter nights.
From a look at the gameplay trailer, it appears that we’ll be getting different types of tools, weapons and ammo, including a bow, axe and arrows. We’ll probably be able to upgrade each item, and just like the fishing rods in Cast n Chill, it’ll be adjusted to the type of resource we’ll be gathering. As of now, we see a shortbow being used on a grouse. But I assume a longbow is up on offer when we’ll be hunting bigger game like deer and bear.
Keep an eye on your food, water, and energy while livin’ off the land. Catch fish, gather berries, chop wood, set traps, and hunt for supper. Just like in the previous game, there are different vehicles for us to traverse the land with. There will probably be a boat and a snowmobile coming in, but in the trailer, we also see an ATV to ride through the brush with.
You begin with nothing but your bare hands (and maybe a fluffy friend to keep you warm at night). A little elbow grease never hurt anyone, and soon enough, you’ll be calling the wilderness home sweet home.
- Hunt – Track over 40 animal species through the brush. Stalk massive elk through the trees or lay out traps for some wily rabbits. And when you need a break? Drop a line in a peaceful river to catch over 20 species of fish.
- Gather – If hunting isn’t your bag, no worries. You can live entirely off gathering the abundant berries, herbs, and leaves found in the wild. A peaceful pantry is still a full pantry.
- Craft – Craft shelters, cabins, smokehouses, woodsheds, traps, food stores, hunting hides, and more. Discover new building styles as you explore deeper into the wild. Your cabin should feel like yours—crooked corners and all.
- Survive – While you’re out hunting and gathering, watch your back. Deer and raccoons won’t cause trouble, but bears and wolves might. Don’t worry—you’re not dinner yet. Just stay smart.
Explore The Wilds
From salty coastlines and muddy marshes to thick rainforests and snowy mountain peaks, there are 11 unique regions to discover, each packed with wildlife, fish, hidden resources and quiet little spots worth sittin’ a spell in.
You won’t be all alone out there in the wilderness. There are a couple of hermits you’ll come across who are happy to trade you some resources for tools.
Up To 4 Player Co-Op
You don’t need to live your life out in the wilderness on your own (unless you want to). Bring up to 3 other friends into Wild n Chill to live out life in one cozy cabin. Life is easier with friends, and you’ll be able to split up the chores however you like. One friend can hunt while another fishes, someone gathers firewood, and another might be fixing up some new windows for that cold winter chill.
