Everyone’s favourite relaxing fishing game Cast n Chill s reeling in something special: your very own cabin in the woods. For those times you’d rather fish closer to home, the game’s May 29, 2026 update introduces a cozy, customizable fishing cabin you can fix up into your dream retreat.
This update adds a brand-new location, cabin decorating, and—most importantly—a place to showcase your fishing trophies. In this article, we’ll walk you through every new feature and show you how to renovate the Old Moose Cabin from a run-down shack to a trophy-worthy hideaway.
The Old Moose Cabin
Tucked away on a quiet lake, the Old Moose Cabin is a worn-down fishin’ shack ready for a fresh start. Don’t let the peeling paint fool you—with a little elbow grease, you’ll turn it into the kind of peaceful retreat you’ll keep coming back to.
But it’s not just about cozy cabin vibes. Right outside your door is a private fishing dock of your own. Step out, cast a line, and relax. You can even personalise which freshwater fish swim in your pond. Want to wake up to bass? Go for it. Crappie at dusk? You got it.
Note: The Old Moose Cabin can only stock freshwater fish. No salty sea dogs allowed here.
Fixing Up The Old Moose Cabin
To claim your cabin, head to the Tackle Shop and buy the deed for 4,000g. Once purchased, click the house icon on the map to access your new property.
Don’t get too comfortable yet—this cabin needs some serious TLC. Before you can even step inside, you’ll need to pay 7,500g for exterior repairs. Yes, house ownership is expensive, but hey, good things come to those who bait.
There are a number of upgrades that you can do to your house, including adding a kitchen, fireplace, etc. We’ve listed all the costs below:

Fish Finder
As part of the interior repairs, you’ll spot a unique upgrade called The Fish Finder (available for 3,000g). This nifty device gives you a live feed of your pond—turn it on and watch the fish you’ve stocked swim around in real time. It’s like an aquarium, but you can catch dinner right after.
Stocking Your Pond
Before you can fish, you’ll need to clean up the pond. Years of neglect have left it full of trash. Just fish as normal—any rod works—to haul out the junk. Watch the meter at the top to track your progress. Good news: Idle mode works for clearing trash too. Kick back and let the game do the dirty work.
Once the water is trash-free, pay 750g to clear the final blockage. Congratulations—your pond is now ready for fish!
How to Stock Fish
- Go to your Fishing Log book at the dock.
- Select any freshwater fish you’ve caught before.
- Press the orange fish icon with a downward arrow next to it.
When your pond is full, you’ll need to fish for them all to empty it again. Then you can stock it all over again with other fish species.
